Subscriptions I am using
I think now subscriptions are getting usually from buying groceries to OTT and other
- We had everything free then why buy subscriptions?
Apple News Plus
I just started this subscription a couple of days ago, previously I used to use Magzter. Apple News Plus has thousands of magazines and newspapers and as a blogger and also reading news is good. I go for Apple News Plus
Spotify
I have tried YT Music, Apple Music, Gaana, and Amazon Music but I love Spotify because of their personal recommendation and the app works very well for me. Mostly it was cross-device functionality.
There is some Spotify exclusive podcast like The Ranveer Show, Call her Daddy, and some more. Recently, Spotify started selling Audiobooks which I also mentioned in my daily newsletter.
Audible
The best purchase I ever made was Audible, it was the Audiobook platform. I didn’t subscribe to it always but I sometimes pause it. Audible has millions of Audiobooks and Originals.
Present I am listing to my all-time favorite book “The Subtle Art of not giving a Fuck by Mark Manson”
I also use Audible for listing to stories when I feel bored and before sleep.
Hulu
I recently posted a tweet
I really mean it. I don’t buy any OTT subscription but I use Hulu because I stay in the US and I need to watch Indian movies or series and most of them are available on Hulu and not on Pirate Bay.
Apple iCloud
I think Cloud Storage was important I previously used Google One (100GB) and I recently shifted to iPhone, so I need iCloud.
YouTube
YouTube is getting worse day by day. Recently YouTube is testing some 5 non-skippable ads for a video.
I am using YouTube premium for over a year and it was the one subscription that I can’t be. I usually spend more than 3–4 hrs on YT every day and I use YT premium for removing Ads and background play.
With YouTube Premium, you also get YT Music premium for free.
Headspace
I previously used to meditate daily but now irregular. I use headspace for that. Headspace offers guided meditation from 3 min to >30 min. Also, I use it for getting sleep.
The apps that are mentioned below will get an in-depth review.
Medium
Now you are reading this post from either Medium or Medium Newsletter. For you to read this I need to pay for Medium for Newsletter and access to unlimited reading. It was good if you need to start any newsletter or some exclusive content.
But I don’t recommend it to all of you because the same content will be offered on another site or somewhere. So don’t buy it.
Quora
I hope this app no need any intro. If anyone has any doubts or required answers, they will connect in Quora. I say Quora as “Answer Booklet”. I used Quora for just an Ad-free experience. I also write news and tech updates. I give personal recommendations on tech to those who request answers from me on Quora. So just open quora and follow me and ask any question on tech and smartphones.
Tweet Bot
Wate purchases I made. Tweet Bot was a client of Twitter. This gives you an Ad-Free experience while scrolling on the home page.
There are many cons than pros. This doesn’t support tweeting threads, # & @ search was low, can’t see communities, no Space. Don’t buy it until you need to waste money.
Hey, this doesn’t cost too much. It was just $6–7 and it was a lifetime.
Appolo for Reddit
This is similar to Tweet Bot but the best purchase. I have used the Reddit app and it suks with Ads, videos, and more. This offers a very clean UI and has created experience and it also offers an Ad-Free experience.
It also cost around $5–7 and it was a lifetime.
Twitter Blue
I have seen the Twitter Blue icon as bold and eye-catching on my Twitter, so I thought to give it a try. The Blue subscription costs $5 per month and it was a useless purchase for anyone. Full review out and my impression on Twitter Blue will be coming on 10/08/2022 on Corta News and Medium.
If you spend time on any app or software and think that makes your life a bit easy then you can give a thought to buying.
Thank you for reading.
